The Physics of Entrepreneurship.

A few weeks ago something bumped into my head. Something about the real meaning of the physic analogy to explain the dynamics of entrepreneurship.

Since that episode, I decide to start a collection of physic analogies used for entrepreneurship, and also checking their meanings.

"Momentum" was the very obvious concept, that reached first to my head, especially the hackfwd's slogan: where passion meets momentum.

One very intersting concept has not any relationship to physics, but to science fiction, it is "The Reality distortion field" attached to Steve Jobs's power of communication. Nevertheless I'm going to include it, becouse it refers to the dynamics of people.

So, this is my list:
  • Passion
  • Momentum
  • Pendulum swing
  • Laws of thermodynamics
  • Reality distortion field
In order to unravel their meanings, I'm going to watch and listen very carefully to people of physics and entrepreneurship arena.

Innovate like Apple

I could notice through these years how so many people want to innovate like Apple, and how others try to explain the key for apple's innovation.

At the iPhone4 keynote, I got fascinated by one sentence of Steve Jobs' speech. He said "This is our new baby, I hope you love it as much as we do", and I said to myself: " damn.. I wanna feel that".

Thus, that feeling is for me the key of Apple's innovation, Apple doesn't want to make products, Apple wants to impact on people's computer experience. Is not about features, colors, price but is about experience.
If you don't believe me, I encourage you to read Michael Moritz's book "Return to the little Kingdom: How Apple and Steve Jobs changed the world".

And also listen to Simon Sinek talking about "How great leaders inpire action" on TED.

The best part: There is not secrets, Steve has been telling to everyone how Apple innovate, just we have to watch and listen what he says.
